I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day!!‏

Dear Family and Friends!!!
Merry Christmas!!!! Its So crazy! I can't believe that Christmas is already here! This week has been so good!! On Tuesday we had a Christmas Conference where we talked about the real meaning of Christmas and how much the world would change if we changed the question from "What will I get for Christmas?" to "What will I GIVE for Christmas?" That has been something that I have been thinking about a lot! Because with my being away from family and serving I am able to see so many people who just need help and then I am able to think about what it is that I can give them this season. But, then of course there is the obvious answer is the best thing that I can give anyone is the knowledge of the gospel. What a beautiful thing it is that we all have the opportunity to do. Last p-day I heard something that I really liked and it went like this.
J- Jesus First
O- Others Second
Y- Yourself Last
So, The Joy that we find in the Christmas season come first from remembering our Savior and his birth and sacrifice. Secondly, it comes from giving to others, from being Christs hands and serving him. and finally, from receiving the blessings of being in the service of our God. If we are always remembering to serve him and follow his example then we are always able to feel that Joy. In Mosiah 2:41 and I know I've shared this one before but I love it!
"And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it." I love to think of the Joy and happiness that this gospel promises us! But as it says in Luke 22:32 it says "But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren." So, essentially, when we receive this joy and this happiness we are asked to share it with others. Its not even as hard as it may seem! When we share that testimony its more often than not what we do and how we live what we know that gets our message across. But then, we need to open that channel of communication and show to others that we are willing to share the reason why we are so happy. We can share the gospel with everyone, anywhere and anytime just by being members of the church. I love you all!!! Have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Love,
Sister Bice
