Let it Snow??‏

Dear Family and Friends,
This week was a good week.... Though our cars did get parked for the last bit of it! We got bunches of snow on Friday and Saturday! I think it was about 8 inches or so. According to some members though we have a lot more to look forward to this week! To start off, on Wednesday I got a text from the AP's saying 'Sister Bice do you have 10 minutes or so that we could call and talk to you?' I think my heart just about broke! I was convinced that they were going to ET me out of Jackson Creek!! Luckily though that wasn't the case. Instead they called me to tell me that they had forgot to send me my training call and didn't realize they had forgotten until I didn't show up to the Trainers meeting. That was a relief.... Then the rest of the week was full of miracles. In fact, crazy story! We went tracting on Thursday and had no luck and we were feeling numb from cold and a bit disappointed. Well, it was dark and we didn't have any more appointments and we are not allowed to contact so we went for some hot chocolate to warm us up. So, we walked in to McDonald's and I order and then Sister Harrop goes up to order and the cashier asks us if we have a spare Book of Mormon he could have. Needless to say we were happy to oblige and we talked with him for a bit (it was busy so we didn't get to long) But, he gave us his name and his number so we could contact him! It is fun to see how aware our Heavenly Father is of us. Usually, we would have just gone to the gas station and grabbed some hot chocolate there but, last minute we decided to go to McDonald's and meet this man who had been curious about our church for a while now. But, if we had gone to the gas station we wouldn't have been there when he was on shift! But, our week has been crazy! Our cars got parked Friday so we went tracting in our area... Which is super super spread out so we made it to maybe 6 houses and it took us 2 hours and only about 3 of the doors even opened. But! I can tell you now that was enough experience to convince me that I never want to live in a snowy place for any extended period of time!! So, in recent months since the age change we have been hearing a lot about the 'hastening the work of salvation' and the other day I came across a scripture that reminded me of it. Its in Mosiah 18:21 "And he commanded them(Priests that he ordained to teach the people) that there should be no contention with another, but that they should look forward with one eye, having one faith and one baptism, having their hearts knit together in unity and in love one towards another." In this scripture Alma is talking about priests specifically, but, I think this applies to every member of the church. it mentions at first that he commanded THEM but then they were to go forth with ONE eye. The work that is being done right now is a work that everyone in the church is participating in whether they know it or not. As we go forth and preach the gospel by word or by deed we are joining the groups we are knitting our hearts together with one purpose and that purpose is to bring others closer to their Savior Jesus Christ. How amazing is it that we have that opportunity and the privilege to help others come to a better sense of self? It is such a comfort for me to know that I am a child of a God and that He loves me. But, it is an even greater comfort to me to be able to tell others that very same truth. I love you all and hope that you have a great week!
Love,
Sister Bice
